Agreement to Terms

Welcome to Readdit Later, a Chrome extension designed to help you save, organize, and enhance your Reddit experience with saved posts and comments. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and the developers of Readdit Later ("we," "us," or "our") regarding your use of the extension and its services.

Description of Service

Core Functionality

Readdit Later is a Chrome browser extension that provides:

• Reddit Integration: Connects to your Reddit account via browser-native capture of your saved posts and comments
• Post & Comment Management: Retrieves, displays, and organizes your saved Reddit posts and comments
• Search & Filtering: Advanced search, filtering, and sorting capabilities
• Labels & Notes: Custom labeling and note-taking for saved posts and comments
• Read Status Tracking: Mark posts and comments as read/unread for better organization

Premium Features (Subscription Required)

Premium features include:

• AI-Powered Summaries: Automatic post summarization
• Sentiment Analysis: Emotion and tone detection for posts
• Auto-Categorization & Auto-Labeling: AI-powered automatic categorization of posts and comments
• Scheduled Auto-Export: Automatic export of your saved posts on a recurring schedule you configure
• Natural Language Search: Semantic search using AI embeddings
• Subreddit Analysis: Community insights and analytics
• AI Chat Agent: Conversational assistant for searching, organizing, and managing saved posts and comments
• AI Tools Integration (MCP): Connect external AI tools to your saved content, via an optional remote connector (Claude and other tools supporting remote MCP servers) or a local MCP server that runs on your own computer (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, etc.)
• Cross-Device Sync: Access your labels, notes, and read status across devices
• Encrypted Cloud Backup: Automatic backup of your saved posts and comments to our server (encrypted in transit and at rest), enabling recovery after reinstalls or device changes
• Notion Integration: Export your saved posts to Notion databases
• Bulk Operations: Perform actions on multiple posts simultaneously
• Premium Export Formats: Certain export destinations and formats are available only on specific plans, as described on our pricing page

Service Components

The service consists of:

• Browser Extension: Client-side interface running in your Chrome browser
• Server Infrastructure: Secure Supabase database for data synchronization and cloud backups
• AI Processing: OpenRouter/OpenAI API for AI-powered features and Anthropic API for AI Chat Agent
• Local MCP Server (Optional): An open-source companion program you may choose to run on your own computer to connect local AI tools to the extension
• Payment Processing: Dodo Payments for subscription management

Service Limitations

• Requires a valid Reddit account and active internet connection
• Full saved post history sync requires visiting your Reddit saved posts page
• The Free plan syncs your 100 most recent saved posts; syncing your full saved history requires a paid plan
• AI features subject to third-party AI service availability
• Cross-device sync requires premium subscription
• Some features may require specific Chrome browser versions (Manifest V3)

Subscription and Payment Terms

Plans

• Free: Syncs your 100 most recent saves, with basic features
• Pro Monthly: Monthly subscription with automatic renewal
• Pro Yearly: Annual subscription with automatic renewal
• Lifetime: One-time payment with no recurring charges (see Lifetime Plan Terms below)

Payment Terms

• All payments are processed through Dodo Payments, our third-party payment processor
• Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis; the Lifetime plan is billed once
• Prices are displayed in your local currency at the time of purchase
• All fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law, or in the limited cases described in the All Sales Final and Service Discontinuation sections below
• We do not store or have access to your credit card information

Billing and Statement Descriptor

Lifetime Plan Terms

• The Lifetime plan is a single, one-time payment with no automatic renewal and no recurring charges
• It includes the premium features designated as Lifetime features on our pricing page at the time of purchase, plus future updates to those features
• Lifetime access is tied to one Reddit username and is non-transferable and non-resellable
• Features that depend on third-party services (AI providers, Reddit, Notion) remain subject to the availability of those services
• If we permanently discontinue the Readdit Later service, we will provide reasonable advance notice and a window to export your data; discontinuation is handled under the Service Discontinuation section below
• Lifetime access may be revoked without refund in cases of fraud, chargebacks, or material violation of these Terms

Automatic Renewal

• Monthly and yearly subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period
• You will be charged the then-current subscription price
• You can cancel automatic renewal at any time through your account settings
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• The Lifetime plan does not renew and is never re-billed

Cancellation

• You may cancel your subscription at any time from within the extension (Subscription Details → Cancel Subscription)
• Cancellation prevents future charges but does not provide a refund for the current billing period
• You will retain access to premium features until the end of your paid period
• The Lifetime plan has no recurring charges and does not need to be cancelled

All Sales Final

• Accidental duplicate charges will be corrected upon verification — contact us with your subscription details and we will resolve it promptly
• Unauthorized charges should be reported immediately to sanjhaiprakash18@gmail.com
• No partial refunds are issued for unused time after cancellation
• If you have a billing question or do not recognize a charge, please contact us before disputing with your bank

Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

• If you do not recognize a charge, check whether it appears as "Dodo Payments" on your statement — this is our payment processor
• Email us at sanjhaiprakash18@gmail.com for any billing questions — we respond within 24 hours
• If a chargeback or payment dispute is filed, we reserve the right to immediately revoke premium access and suspend the associated account
• Fraudulent chargebacks — filing a dispute for a legitimate charge you authorized — constitute a violation of these Terms and may result in permanent account termination
• We reserve the right to contest any chargeback we believe to be unjustified and to submit transaction and usage evidence to the card network
• Accounts terminated due to chargebacks are not eligible for reinstatement

Price Changes

• We reserve the right to modify subscription prices
• Price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance
• Continued subscription after price change constitutes acceptance
• You may cancel if you do not agree to the new pricing
• Price changes never affect an already-purchased Lifetime plan

Service Discontinuation

• All recurring billing will stop immediately upon discontinuation
• For annual subscriptions, we will refund the unused, prepaid portion on a pro-rata basis
• For monthly subscriptions, no refund is owed for the current billing period
• For Lifetime purchases, a pro-rata goodwill refund may be offered for purchases made within the preceding 12 months
• Except as stated here or as required by applicable law, discontinuation does not entitle you to a refund

User Eligibility and Account Requirements

Age Requirements

• You must be at least 13 years old to use this extension
• You must meet Reddit's minimum age requirements for your jurisdiction
• Users under 18 should have parental consent before using the extension
• For paid subscriptions, you must be of legal age to enter into contracts in your jurisdiction

Reddit Account Requirements

• You must have a valid, active Reddit account
• Your Reddit account must be in good standing (not suspended or banned)
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Reddit credentials
• You must comply with Reddit's Terms of Service and User Agreement

Account Responsibility

• You are responsible for all activity under your account
• You must provide accurate and complete information for billing
• You must notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
• One account per Reddit username — no sharing or transferring subscriptions

Acceptable Use Policy

Permitted Uses

You may use Readdit Later for:

• Personal organization and management of your saved Reddit posts and comments
• Legitimate research and educational purposes
• Creating personal backups of your publicly saved posts and comments
• Analyzing your own Reddit activity patterns
• Exporting your data to third-party services (e.g., Notion) for personal use
• Connecting your own AI tools to your own library through the MCP integration

Prohibited Uses

You may NOT use Readdit Later to:

• Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
• Access or attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the extension
• Circumvent Reddit's rate limits or terms of service
• Create automated systems to abuse Reddit's services
• Share, resell, or redistribute your subscription access
• Share your MCP connector URL or sync token with other people or public services
• Distribute, sell, or commercialize the extension without permission
• Use the extension for any harmful, illegal, or malicious purposes
• Attempt to interfere with the extension's operation or security
• Use AI features to generate harmful, misleading, or illegal content
• Create multiple accounts to abuse the Free plan
• Perform fraudulent payment transactions or chargebacks

Privacy and Data Handling

Key Privacy Points

• Local Storage: Cached posts and comments stored locally in your browser
• Server Storage: Labels, notes, reminders, and read status synced to our Supabase servers for cross-device access
• Encrypted Cloud Backup (paid plans): On paid plans, your saved posts and comments are backed up to our server, encrypted in transit and at rest, to enable recovery after reinstalls or on new devices; it is not end-to-end (zero-knowledge) encrypted, so our AI features can read your saves. You can turn cloud backup off or delete it at any time in the extension's Privacy & Data settings
• AI Processing: Post and comment content sent to OpenRouter/OpenAI and Anthropic for AI features (not permanently stored)
• MCP Sync (Opt-in): If you enable the remote AI Tools connector, a copy of your saves is synced to our server, keyed to your Reddit username and reachable via an access token, with automatic deletion after 30 days of inactivity
• Usage Analytics: First-party feature-usage events are sent to our own server to improve the product; we use no third-party analytics or trackers
• Data Control: You can export or delete all your data at any time, including cloud backups
• No Data Sales: We never sell your personal data to third parties

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Reddit: Browser-native capture of your saved posts and comments from your logged-in Reddit session
• Supabase: For secure database storage, cross-device sync, and cloud post backup
• OpenRouter/OpenAI: For AI-powered summaries, labeling, and analysis
• Anthropic: For AI Chat Agent conversations and tool-assisted management
• Dodo Payments: For payment processing
• Notion API: For optional Notion integration (if you enable it)
• Crisp: For optional in-app support chat (if you open it)

Each service has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

How We Access Your Reddit Data

Browser-Native Capture

When you visit your Reddit saved posts page, the extension reads your saved posts using your existing logged-in Reddit session — either from the page content your browser renders, or by requesting Reddit's own saved-posts JSON listing (the same data Reddit's website loads for you). These requests rely solely on your existing session; no Reddit API keys, OAuth apps, or additional credentials are involved. The extension stores your saved posts locally over time. On paid plans, regular syncs accumulate older posts so your library can grow beyond Reddit's ~1,000-item display limit as older items are captured before they fall off; on the free plan, syncing is limited to your 100 most recent saves until you upgrade. This method uses your existing logged-in browser session and is functionally equivalent to you viewing and scrolling through your own saved posts.

Intellectual Property Rights

Extension Ownership

• Readdit Later and all associated intellectual property belong to its developers
• These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the extension
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works
• The local MCP server is distributed under its own open-source license (MIT), which governs that component
• All trademarks and service marks remain the property of their respective owners

Your Content

• You retain all rights to your Reddit posts, comments, and content
• Labels and notes you create remain your intellectual property
• We only access content you have explicitly saved on Reddit
• We do not claim any ownership over your personal data or content
• You grant us a license to store and process your data to provide the service

Third-Party Content

• Reddit content is subject to Reddit's terms and individual creators' rights
• Respect copyright and intellectual property rights of all content creators
• The extension is not affiliated with or endorsed by Reddit, Inc., OpenAI, Anthropic, Notion, or Supabase
• AI-generated summaries are provided for personal use only

AI Features and Content

AI Feature Terms

• AI features use third-party AI models for summaries, labeling, and analysis
• The AI Chat Agent uses Anthropic's Claude model for conversational search and post management
• AI-generated content (summaries, labels, chat responses) may not always be accurate
• You are responsible for verifying AI-generated content before relying on it
• AI features are subject to rate limits and availability of third-party services
• We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI outputs

AI Tools Integration (MCP) Terms

• The MCP integration lets AI tools you choose to connect (such as Claude, Claude Desktop, or Cursor) read your library and, through the local MCP server, perform actions on it — including labeling, organizing, adding notes, deleting posts from your library, and exporting
• Actions performed by your connected AI tools are treated as your actions. You are responsible for the instructions you give your AI tools and for reviewing the actions they take, including deletions and exports
• You are responsible for keeping your MCP connector URL and sync token confidential; anyone with the URL can read your synced saves
• Your use of connected AI tools is also governed by those tools' own terms of service
• We are not responsible for the behavior, output, or availability of third-party AI tools connected through MCP

Acceptable Use of AI Features

• AI features are for personal, non-commercial use only
• Do not use AI features to generate harmful, illegal, or misleading content
• Respect intellectual property rights when using AI summaries
• AI-generated content should not be republished without proper attribution

Service Availability and Modifications

Service Availability

• We strive to maintain 99% service availability for paid subscribers
• Service may be interrupted due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues
• Reddit UI or API changes may affect extension functionality
• Third-party service outages (OpenAI, Anthropic, Supabase) may impact features
• We do not guarantee 100% uptime or continuous availability
• Scheduled maintenance will be announced when possible

Modifications to Service

• We may modify, update, add, or discontinue features at any time
• Major changes will be communicated through extension updates or email
• We reserve the right to modify these Terms with 30 days notice
• Continued use after modifications constitutes acceptance of changes
• Price changes for subscriptions will be communicated in advance

User Responsibilities

Account Security

• Keep your Reddit account credentials secure and confidential
• Use strong, unique passwords for your accounts
• Keep your MCP connector URL and sync token private
• Notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorized access
• Do not share your subscription access with others

Compliance

• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
• Respect Reddit's Terms of Service and community guidelines
• Report any bugs, security issues, or violations to us promptly
• Use the extension responsibly and ethically
• Honor intellectual property rights of content creators

Data Backup

• On paid plans, the extension automatically creates cloud backups of your saved posts and comments (encrypted in transit and at rest) after each sync and save-click; you can turn this off or delete your backup in the extension's Privacy & Data settings
• While we maintain these backups and server-side data, you are also encouraged to create your own local backups using the data export feature
• We are not responsible for data loss due to user actions or technical failures

Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

Service Disclaimers

We specifically disclaim any warranties regarding:

• Continuous or error-free operation of the extension
• Accuracy or completeness of data retrieved from Reddit or AI services
• Accuracy of AI-generated summaries, labels, or analysis
• Actions taken by third-party AI tools connected through the MCP integration
• Integrity or availability of cloud backups
• Compatibility with all browser versions or configurations
• Prevention of data loss or corruption
• Availability of third-party services (Reddit, OpenAI, Anthropic, Supabase)
• Results obtained from using the extension

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities
• Service interruptions or technical failures
• Damages arising from third-party services (Reddit, OpenAI, Anthropic, Supabase, Dodo Payments)
• Damages arising from actions performed by AI tools you connected through MCP
• Loss or corruption of cloud backup data
• Inaccurate AI-generated content or analysis
• Unauthorized access to your account or data
• Any damages exceeding the amount you paid for the subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the developers of Readdit Later, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the extension or its features
• Your violation of these Terms or applicable laws
• Your violation of any third-party rights (including intellectual property rights)
• Any content you access, create, or manage through the extension
• Your use of AI features, AI-generated content, or AI tools connected through MCP
• Fraudulent payment activities or chargebacks
• Your breach of Reddit's Terms of Service

Termination

Termination by You

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
• You may stop using the extension at any time by uninstalling it
• Request data deletion through Settings or by email
• Log out of reddit.com to disconnect the extension from your Reddit account
• Disconnect the MCP integration at any time from the extension, which deletes your synced data from the server
• Turn off or delete your cloud backup at any time in the extension's Privacy & Data settings (deleting your account also removes it)
• Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period

Termination by Us

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without notice, for:

• Violations of these Terms or applicable laws
• Fraudulent payment activities or chargebacks
• Abuse of multiple accounts or subscription sharing
• Harmful or malicious use of the extension
• Non-payment of subscription fees
• Discontinuation of the service (with reasonable notice)

Effect of Termination

• Your license to use the extension terminates immediately
• You should uninstall the extension from your browser
• Access to premium features will be immediately revoked
• Server-stored data (labels, notes, read status, cloud backups) will be retained for 30 days
• MCP synced data is deleted per the retention rules in our Privacy Policy
• You may request data export within 30 days of termination
• After 30 days, server data may be permanently deleted
• Locally stored data remains on your device unless manually deleted
• Provisions regarding liability, indemnification, and disputes survive termination

Billing Disputes

Informal Resolution

Before initiating formal proceedings, please contact us at sanjhaiprakash18@gmail.com to discuss and potentially resolve any disputes informally. Most issues can be resolved through direct communication. We commit to responding within 72 hours and working in good faith to resolve your concerns.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Subject to the Dispute Resolution provisions below, the courts located in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms.

Arbitration

Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be finally resolved by binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (as amended). The seat and venue of arbitration shall be Tiruchirappalli, India, and the arbitration shall be conducted in English before a sole arbitrator. Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking relief in a court of competent jurisdiction where permitted by law.

Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis and waive the right to participate in class actions, class arbitrations, or representative actions, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

General Provisions

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the extension and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect, and the unenforceable provision shall be replaced with an enforceable provision that most closely reflects the original intent.

No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, internet service provider failures, or third-party service outages.

Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service periodically to reflect changes in our practices, applicable law, service features, or pricing. When we make changes:

• We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document
• Significant changes will be communicated through the extension, email, or our website
• Material changes (especially to subscription terms) will be communicated at least 30 days in advance
• Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms
• If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should cancel your subscription and stop using the extension

Acknowledgment and Acceptance

By using Readdit Later, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. You represent that:

• You meet all age and eligibility requirements
• You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement
• All information you provide is accurate and complete
• You will comply with all applicable laws and these Terms
• You understand that premium features require a paid subscription or Lifetime purchase
• You understand how your data is collected, stored, and used, including automatic cloud backups on paid plans
• You are responsible for actions taken by AI tools you connect through MCP
• You understand that all sales are final and no refunds are provided except as described in these Terms or required by applicable law
• You understand that charges appear as "Dodo Payments" on your bank statement
